Paul Sewick
Paul Sewick, House Stories LLC founder & researcher

I was born on Detroit’s east side and mostly grew up in the suburbs of St. Clair Shores, Fraser, and Harper Woods. My love for old houses took root when I moved to Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood in 2005. There I learned how to research historical homes, began the Corktown History Blog and was elected to the Corktown Historical Society’s Board of Directors.

In 2015, I started Detroit Urbanism, a blog about the land development history of Metro Detroit. My wife, Sarah, and I moved to Farmington Hills that same year, and in 2017 I was appointed by the Farmington Hills City Council to the local Historic District Commission.
